- The End Of The Beginning... -
yo there ppl! its FINALLY the end of my rather long and wierd journey of training thus far and its about to end soon in a matter of days. after dis its literally a more independent life on my own out there doin my stuff dat im supposed to do alone without any1 companion being lonely and stuff ok u get the point. not dat its a bad thing but its gonna need alot of adjustment and SA!
so... since i cant say much about anything the main topic my post will end with dis phrase: OMG WE GOT PHOTOS! =D
haha wont end yet oso i dun write such short entries fyi =P wad other stuff to do about eh...
lets see hmm my driving is goin ok ba still goin for my lessons and circuit will start soon and den the practical test will come on the 26th Dec which is after xmas! lets hope it will be my own gift to myself ba =X
wow recently the excitement to jam again has really made me do alot of stuff namely readjust my kit and lots more prac with metronome and the set itself. been playin those sticks like almost 1 hour a day now since few days back and today 2 hours. i tink i experiment too much after watching all those videos on youtube and understand their setups. well most ppl will say the setup is up to ur preference, comfort and convenience, its true but adjusting the heights of certain cymbals and toms really makes the difference in speed of playin. boy i tink i suddenly can move i dunno... 0.1s faster? its only like a minute difference but for every song dat i play now it saps away less of my stamina so its juz great. den gotta learn how to feel the beat of the song den play something diff. ok the previous sentence juz meant learning how to improv properly and not goin out of beat which i cant really handle even slightly so theres a sign i still suck haha.
not like the guitar u can only play it in certain positions but mine u can even play it upside down if u like lol. anyways all the trouble was well worth it for the upcoming jam on 8th nov FINALLY. we were hiatus like since march 2009 HELLO dats like... u count urself how long its been.
on to other stuff the 'A' lvls are here again so GOOD LUCK and ALL THE BEST to all!!! =D the last hurdle to jump for all j2s and boy was it difficult. but when ur done with it and u get the results its will juz be a bad dream.
well ill go back to searching videos and relaxing on dis cool nite. long time since it rained dis heavy which is great yay! =D
P.S. Cobus Potgieter is the best youtube drummer hands down legs down everything down!!!
