- Wad a day! =D -

haha spent today studyin at nat library with LL! boss suppose to come but due to sleepy reasons and laziness he decided not to join us =X when sms him he juz woke up somemore =.= nvm see u during nat day? go simpang eat prata wan? =D mornin was so freakin cold i wear my windbreaker oso felt cold lah. couldnt stand the cold(so we sit lor, LITERALLY, u will noe wad i mean soon) n went off for early lunch at macs b4 we headed back for more muggin. met her PAE classmate at macs wad a frenster =D

so when we headed back all the seats n tables were taken unlike in mornin so empty. den we found a nice/not so cold/quiet corner n sat on the floor n mugged till 5pm. she den went for her council gathering dinner at some big house ba. can fit 2 councils(19th/20th) which is bout 60+ ppl in a house considered big? exchanged our gifts b4 we left =) finally... =X

i den met up with en chou(aka lao ban-boss in chinese. eh where lao ban niang? =D), jonathan, ben lim n linda for harry potter movie/dinner. movie was ok ba juz dat can tell they squeeze alot of content into a 2hr+ movie?(juz like how econs tutors tryin to force so much content into our little brains =X) den went over to arcade where i discovered MT3 is in singapore! me itchy hand coz v long nv play liao mah den play 1 game lor. i knew dis guy wanted to versus me so purposely go 10player runout. den he versus me haha. won him n continue 1 10player runout. dunno whether im 820hp anot. wiki says it suppose to since i transfer from MT2. din see my bars b4 starting though. was v fun even though it was juz 1 race!

- Sian... -

haiz juz 1 word describes dis week. it oso describes life oso =X. skool cant get more boring or lifeless as dis. everyday is the same. its so repetitive its dejavu every single day. juz diff things happening only. n ive been so bz to even take a proper break. ok lah bus ride n mrt ride my break lah wadeva. my sleeping timings have significantly shifted to later den usual. hmm tink i should start crapping abit. lets bring in maths, physics n econs =D

Plot a graph of sleeping time/h against day of the week. Horizontal Asymptote: y= 12 midnight. As graph tends towards 12 midnight, the day of the week tends to WEEKENDS. From the graph, I can conclude that the graph has a relatively consistent trend about >12am with the occasional increase due to factors such as EoM or unfinished tutorials. The completion of my work is of critical importance as its opportunity cost is being screwed by my tutors. However, there is a translation parallel to the sleeping time-axis by 1 hour due to the late containment by tutors in school which resulted in this graph being inaccurate. There is also no anomaly present in the graph as there is little scatter of points as all points are relatively close to the line of best fit.

The Singapore Education System also shows a huge DEMAND in results and exerts a huge pressure on us students. However, they should understand that the SUPPLY of time everyone has is only 24hours. This would result in a shortage as demand>supply and the market would not operate efficiently. The market is productively efficient but allocatively inefficient. Reason being that they are using the least cost method to impart knowledge unto student but do not give the right tutorials in the right amount. I can now infer that the market is of monopoly status as it controls total market power. However one aspect that does not agree with the features of a monopoly is its type of product. The inputs are identical but the products such as results of the students do not seem to be unique. Since supply is a constant, demand should take a leftward shift in order to achieve an appropriate equilibrium. But thats not going to happen =P Even if the demand curve would be able to shift, it would not affect the economy much as it is very price elastic. A proper substitute is not available at this point of time but complements to our education system are available such as PRC scholars from China.

today came back abit earlier bout 330 although i was SUPPOSED to be released at 1205 but was held back by chem makeup tutorial =X. oso me chee ching yane n brian had the idea of performing at That Music Thing(music concert for charity organised by 5th students council). but we were all too bz to join. haha in fact we nv even jam with each other b4. got time must go k(tink dat will be after promos). im not goin dun ask me y le. btw i tink the title That Music Thing v catchy. heres y...

today when coming home tim n me had dis convo:
HH: eh tim u goin for the thing later?
Tim: wad thing?
HH: THAT MUSIC THING!

lol damn funny sia. haiz at least i still got naruto, drums to keep my sanity from the hectic schedule of school. every1 juz work hard i tink everything will be ok liao. jiayou!

P.S izzit fun to keep each other in suspense? =D

- Time flies... -

nope time din drink red bull. wad a way to start a new post with a lame joke. nvm. anyway the j2s had their last time sailing as j2 meridian sailors ystd i guess(dun tink they will be sailing anymore dis yr). zhihan i tink will miss his boat leh. coz he named his boat M6 danielle(tink spelling wrong). so we sailed our boats back from nsc to saf changi lor. had alot fun i guess esp the "BEST" 420 pair in sg(eh dun say lah... =D) naiyu n junkai. the wind sorta shifted so from reaching back to saf we had to go upwind most of it. SIAN. b4 we went out winds were confirm like 18knots n i was so high. after dat it dropped to less den 10 ba =X. we all made in back safely in the end.

felt like handover coz j2s were tellin j1s like me how to take care of the stuff n all. junkai was tellin me wad equipment belongs where like i was laser qm lol. oso after the j2s step down we j1s dunno wad boat to use leh. coz we have to take care of all the equip as well as possible n make sure got no scratches n all. me esp dunno whether i should leave my M3 ZZZ. been using it since the 3rd time i got on a laser. 1st 2 times had been using M1. n all dis was during 1st 3 months leh! ya so u should noe how long ive been using roughly liao hor. got some kinda connection liao coz i noe her so well(sailors always call their boats "her" i dunno y oso). it will juz feel wierd n sad for me to change boat lor. maybe i should name M3 too. dun tell me to name it after some1 u horse(the horse from MJC sailing i wonder who ah?)

yup den me naiyu junkai angela n the twins went simpang for dinner. naiyu left after dinner but the rest of us went to eastwood near my house for ice cream from ice cream gallery coz the gals din wan to go home. went to a playground beside the big canal behind eastwood there n talked alot den. was fun lor juz tokin n doin nothing. stop fighting for horsie n torsie k. meh meh no1 wan de. haha horsie torsie n meh meh r the little kiddie spring thingys dat u sit on n get high lol. k u might not understand but i dunno how to explain oso =S.

- National Inter-Schools Sailing Championships 2007(3rd-6th July) -

after 4 days of intensive racing off the shores of east coast, the Meridian Sailing Team managed to clinch 4th place in both 'A' Div Boys and Girls. Well Done all! dis gonna be another long post i guess... btw ALOT of pics UPLOADED on the section ABOUT! plz be patient if it takes alot of time to load k =)

1st 2 days the 'A' Div Girls fought it out n produced quite good results while the boys all went out to play LAN cept me ben ho n brian who played cards all day long till we sian diao =P both days i felt the wind was strong cept 2nd part of 2nd day wind was juz shiok i guess. bout 6 or 7 knots liddat. wished i was a gal n raced(EH NO LAH)... our 420 pair of Elaine and Patricia did v well to come in individual(oxy moron leh, 420 sailed by 2 ppl rite) 3rd! the radials did well oso but wasnt enuf to overcome the other strong radials. but sadly alot casualties on 1st day. some yellow dude broke angela's daggerboard while helping her return to shore n faye's outhaul clip juz let go. well may not seem alot to u but alot to our current quartermaster junkai. he looked depressed when he saw the broken daggerboard sticking out of the sand though =X tink all the girls were afraid of the wind on the 1st day. but they managed to pull themselves tgt n continue sailing which i tink takes alot of courage lor. hope the girls can tell more interesting stories on their blogs. coz i din sail mah. on to the boys =D

the boys oso sailed proudly with our target set at the green green school with mostly 2 pointers in it(u noe which school im tokin bout. if u dun, u should Really Join Council. random sia *hint hint*) alot happened with our 420s. erh most prominent is a broken 420.... literally. dun really noe wad happened but a huge crack(almost on the width of the hull) near the bow of andrew n ben's boat. our scoring 420 pair of leonard/terrence din manage to win the pair they were suppose to win. but we noe u 2 have tried so well done as well. finally the boys lasers. seriously not dat i tink im jinxed or wadeva, but i tink the strength of the wind is directly proportional to(wah now use maths somemore seh. k is a constant rite? =P) my performance. 1st day was mainly strong wind n i couldnt really hold on on upwinds. but when it came to downwinds *smirks* OWNS =D but i tink i can still go faster by further improving my pumping timings n surfing the waves more smoothly n not decreasing my velocity while speeding up n down the waves. our team made up of light laser standard sailors cept kokjin who weighs in at... dun say lah. most likely bout twice ur weight =X yup so 1st day was kokjin's day finishing at 11th place overall. den me at 13th place overall. 12th was low wen chun of green green school =.= naiyu was at 16th i tink cant remember exact positions.

den 2nd day came. we were bout 8 points behind dat green school. leonard/terrence had to win the 420 pair in order for us to be on tied points. den lasers needed to push up by 1 or 2 positions in order to bring the 3rd back home. we calculate a schools's position by including the scores of a school's 420 pair n 2 lasers. the evening b4 me leonard terrence went home via the underpass to my house there n we were tokin bout how we were goin to slp dat nite with the amount of stress on us.

Terrence: eh i tink tonite 3 of us will be lying on our beds tinkin wad the other 2 doin n whether they can slp anot.
Leonard/HH: LOL!

but it was light/moderate wind on the 2nd day. kokjin couldnt perform well n eventually we had to count in mine n naiyu's scores. however it was mine n naiyu's day. damn happy even though we din clinch 3rd. me n naiyu were communicating on wad to do during the races n helped each other alot to push down low wen chun. in the end me n naiyu won wen chun all 3 races cept for the last race where naiyu din do dat well i guess. dats wad u call teamwork in sailing. overall i managed to push up 2 positions to 11th place overall. still lookin for all the results n waiting to post them here but b4 dat here r my own race postitions for all 7 races:

YES! dats not a typo error. its true. my 1ST BULLET(sailing term used to denote a 1st placing in a race) at interschool! u can say it was tyco or wind shift or wadeva. but i spotted a wind shift n decided to start rite at the comm boat. had a perfect start n due to wind shift din need to tack n shot str8 to the 1st mark. was 2nd place when i rounded the 1st mark behind micheal of ACSI. but he was caught pumping n had to do a 720 which leaves me in 1st place. from den on it juz felt gd all the way. imagine urself in front of big ppl of the sailing fraternity like Colin Cheng(2006 Asian Games Gold Medallist Laser 4.7) and Low Wen Chun(same as abv, oso 2006 Asian Games Gold Medallist 420. ironic rite 420 helm come laser standard) n many other top standard sailors. juz for 1 race in ur lifetime u wished u could win them in a race fair n square. they r probably the best in Asia at dis point of time n it juz felt too gd to be true. dat race was the race i ever hoped 4. hearing the horn blow when i crossed the finish line nv felt so gd! dis kinda things dun come often in a lifetime n i will treasure it n train for them more in the future. for now i need to continue adding muscle mass so i can handle the laser standard better.

well hoped every1 gained gd exp from dis interschool. i noe i did although its alrdy my 7th interschool =S got a medal somemore so dis will really be an interschool i will not forget for the rest of my life =)

To the J2 sailors: Thks for all the guidance u gave me. I will remember them well n bring MJC Sailing higher. Good Luck n Study Hard for 'A' lvls! Remember to come back n sail with us if u free like Chenxi. We welcome u to join us for training anytime! =)

To ALL the J1 sailors: Regardless whether u took part in dis yrs Interschool or not, i juz have 1 msg: Set ur targets for next yrs Interschool n train hard for it. We shall leave a legacy for others to follow next yr. MJC Sailing has been 4th Boys n Girls for few yrs liao. Let the breakthrough be at next yrs Interschools!

- Last Training... -

well isnt it obvious wad dis means. rest for interschool which is less den 3 days away. we had friendly with TJC ystd n VJC n the Laser National Team today. woah i tell u. sailing with TJC is damn funny lah. they juz love to shout STARBOARD(rule for right of way in sailing) from so far away. crazy lah in the end our sailors oso cross them they shout for wad =.= i tink mine more funny lah. coz if u on the right side of the boat, u have right of way. but a person on port(left side of boat) can ask for room to let him through legally. so dis joker from so far away shout... i dun care him wait awhile den reply when we closer so i dun need shout so loud...

TJC sailor: can lemme go?!?!?!
HH:*waits for bout 5seconds* NO!

lol zhihan still ask me friendly abit lah haha. but seriously gotta say in sailing gotta fight for ur positions to try n even compete with the best. i oso noe lah should be more friendly with ppl but i seriously not a nice guy to mess with when im sailing. im v serious bout it. oso part of tactics 2. tink its part of some sports psychology thingy i learnt from my coach last time in primary skool (i tink =P so long ago liao...) coz if u shout at a person aggressively they will be affected mentally, which will den affect their sailing. u wan try? join sailing lor =D

yup so today sailed with VJC n Laser National Team =X we practiced starts with VJC n had a few races too. but i went back to shore after the 1st race with VJC coz my finger was injured =S bad timing lah. now i have exactly 2 days+ to heal an open blister wound on my finger.
Open Wound+Seawater=PAIN
everything now oso use mainly left hand coz wound on my rite hand =X haiz juz recover ASAP k wound =S

tmr goin to lavender to renew my passport. damn sian den i tink gotta do my e learning when i reach home coz tues n wed will be at NSC cheerin the gals on for interschool. sry forgot to mention A div gals sail on 3/4 July while A div boys sail on 5/6 July. any1 "HAPPEN" (like such a thing would happen) to pass by east coast come take a look k. show u wad sailing's all bout =D
