- Victoria School 3rd Student Leaders' Investiture -

went back to VS ystd for the above event. met up with LCK at 5pm bedok there b4 goin to VS tgt. met ramanan on the way there at the mrt. den met alot of the other VS ppl from 2006 batch which u can see in the pictures.

so wad is dis event? well VS had the usual prefects' investiture like any other sec school 3 yrs ago. but due to our school mission it was apparent dat the other leaders in the school were to be recognised as well. dis event was the prefectorial board initiative somemore. im proud to have been part of the Inaugural Student Leaders' Investiture in sec4 holding double posts. dis is something v special to me i will always remember.

dis year de was held in the hall unlike when i was in sec4. last time was in auditorium den make until so grand seh. coz maybe its the 1st so must make till sui sui. anywhere was held smoothly ba. flags walk-in was better den ours although the bgm was commented to be sorta "copied". head prefect dis year tok on the mike like mansoor(2005 head prefect) seh. same pattern oso lol.

den some MJ de will be askin me "eh same day as Soiree rite?". who needs Soiree when i got the VICTORIA SCHOOL CONCERT BAND (WITH DRUMS) playin 3 songs live includin our school anthem. the 2 songs played are songs dat they always play so any victorians reading dis should noe wad songs liao. since they always play it during wadeva occasion. anyway they played really well and tight. drums were abit different now coz drummer not matthew ho(VSCB 2006 IMBA DRUMMER) liao.

however, i gotta make a confession here. when the Victorian Anthem was played, everything came back to me. i felt like cryin while singing(shouting) it at the top of my voice with the old boys. i honestly wanted to cry and was tearing up while singing. to the rest it doesnt feel much since they still sing it once a week. yes they are almost all from VJC, look at the pictures. unlike me n a few others not in VJC it was juz dis special song dat could instill the pride back into me. or at least i felt dis way.

(volume of MJ anthem)X100<(volume of VS anthem) being old boys we respected the current school cohert. as a tradition we always ended our school anthem with a medly of cheers NICE... we waited for the current batch to finish theirs b4 the old boys started... GIMME A V!!! V!!! GIMME A I!!! I!!! (due to length of cheer, i shall stop here) made the whole hall watch dis group of different coloured(JC uniform colour) ppl go crazy for 2min b4 they ended the ceremony proper. at dis point i lost my voice liao. last time i lost my voice was last yr when i came back to collect O lvl results with the rest of 2006 cohert. shows my enthusiasm for MJC!!! = not much or none at all!!! =P anyway dis year i sorta counted got quite a few ppl dat have HIGH double or even triple posts. den got so many Senior Leaders(SL) tink got bout 20? =X my year only got 10 of us handle the whole school for the various occasions dat need us to be mobilised. speaking of cheers, i managed to find a video dat jarren posted of us after LTC 2005. Thanks Jarren! Ended off the camp with 'normal' procedures to sing the school song and finishing it with school cheers. V dark but can guess how many ppl making the noise? Dun tell u =X Can sorta maybe hear Me, Calvin, George and Jarren quite distinctly i tink. Well here it is:

it was juz great seeing the usual 06 batch ppl again lah. since we were a group of student leaders in 2006, doin all the cheers tgt all felt too familiar. screamin at each other with hoarse voices tryin to pull every other victorian to join in even though we have left dis great institution. leadin the way with the group of ppl being able to do the loudest cheers, it felt gd being able to do it again after so long.

haha today nv go school coz e-learning day. tink i better start doin the online stuff now. cya ppl.
